About The Course
For students serious about advancing in Bharathanatyam, the Gandharva Bharathanatyam Method Book 5 is an ideal pre-professional course. Designed for those with 4-5 years of experience or an ISTD Grade 4 qualification, this program offers comprehensive training in a full Bharathanatyam margam—a sequence of 10 traditional pieces including Pushpanjali, Alarippu, Jathiswaram, Shabdam, Kauthuvam, Varnam, Ashtapadi, Padam, Keerthanam, Thillana, and Mangalam.
This course also prepares students to perform an Arangetram or Ranga Pravesh, a significant milestone in Bharathanatyam. Students will gain the skills and confidence to present a solo 3-hour recital accompanied by a live orchestra before an invited audience.
