About The Course
If your child has successfully completed the Trinity Rock and Pop Initial, it’s time to start preparing for Grade 1. This course focuses on helping students enhance their skills and techniques, including single-note riffs, power chord riffs, articulation, and precise picking, all essential for excelling in their certification exam.
For the Grade 1 exam, students perform a set list of three songs. Two of these are selected from the Grade 1 songbook, including a technical focus (TF) piece that highlights two specific techniques integrated throughout the song. Additionally, students will demonstrate technical exercises, such as scales, arpeggios, and chords, played in time with a beat or metronome.
